Of all our pets, Tar seems to take Pet Day Friday most seriously. Actually, he seems to take every Friday most seriously.
He usually starts practicing on Wednesday night. He has a couple of pops, a couple of Snausages, and he goes to bed early. All day Thursday he’s significantly more laid back than he’s been earlier in the week — fewer walks, more naps. He knocks off for the day by about 4:00 or so and heads to the bar with his buddies for Happy Hour.
By Friday, his blood pressure’s getting lower, his eyelids are at half-mast, and he can’t even be bothered to wag his tail. We’re not saying he’s lazy. He just has is priorities in order.
